Sunday - Online Dating #2

Happy Sunday! The only downfall to Sunday is that we have to go back to work tomorrow, but I do LOVE relaxing and catching up on life on Sundays.
I saw this and thought it was perfect!

So since this is my second dating post, I thought it was important to share what I am looking for in a man.
  • Christian
  • Handsome
  • Honest/Communicates
  • Can be wrong sometimes - I cannot stand someone who is "always right"
  • Views the world as Cup Half Full
  • Outgoing - enjoys doing things but can do nights in as well
  • Humor and Silliness - I need these in my life so badly

I have had more dates since my last Sunday post. I went out with a gentlemen to sushi and then a lunch date. He is very nice, but I am not attracted to him. He brought me a flower to lunch and is a complete gentlemen. I am not sure what to do, as I enjoy talking with him, he is very easy to talk to and I learn a lot from him, he is from Egypt so he shares his culture which is great. I am supposed to see him again but I'm not sure that I want to.

I went to Hibachi with a gentlemen we will call him Clint. He was a great time. The chatting was flowing and he seems to be a lot of fun. He said he wanted to get together again, however, he hasn't followed through so we shall see what happens.

I went to dinner with a gentlemen we will call him Brett. I had the most amazing time. He is a really great guy. He did ask me to hang out again, but I was out of town, so we are supposed to see each other this week. I will keep you posted!!

The online dating has taken a turn. I am finally having a good time and not feeling so down about everything. I have some prospects that I am looking forward to. I will keep you posted.

Until next time...

Chemical Peel - MedSpa

Radiance Medspa - Chemical Peel

I had a chemical peel done at Radiance MedSpa. I think it is important to remind everyone that I do not get paid for the reviews that I write. The spa staff was extremely helpful, I had a million questions. I was very nervous and scared to have a layer of my face melted off.

My suggestion if you are thinking of doing this treatment are:
-If you have acne/oily skin
-Want a baby butt soft face
-Do not have sensitive skin at all

This was an expensive treatment I spent $115 including tip. I have done microdermabrasion before and that really made my face and skin look young, soft, and minimize my pores. The chemical peel took the first layer off my face, making my face look amazing. I suggest you do this on a Thursday on a weekend you aren't doing anything, it will take at least 3 days for your face to flake off. You cannot touch it or help with the peel process! Which was really hard for me. You need to use Cetaphil to wash your face for a week afterwards. No working out or showering for 24 hours.

The lady who did the procedure was AWESOME! She walked me through the entire process, telling me what would happen next and asking for my feedback, which I really appreciated since I was nervous doing something new.

As I said my skin looked beautiful, but it stayed RED for an extremely long time. I would say 3 weeks, my face was very red and looked like it had been sunburned, then it moved to splochy red, then cleared up.

Would I do this again, yes, and wouldn't exfoliate for a week before the treatment. I exfoliate pretty much every day so I imagine this would make my skin more sensitive.

Friday Fun Day!

This was the longest week ever!

We had the Flippin' Pizza Truck for a fundraiser come to the school, which was awesome. The pizza was really good, they came to us, no clean up, nothing I really had to plan, except the logistics of when students would get their pizza!
*****If you are looking for a fundraiser at an event you already have planned, I def recommend this as an option. $3 slices, $6 2 slices and a drink, $20 pies.

A World War II vet who was present in Normandy on D-Day, came and spoke with students, his name is Roger. We had 350 students come to view his presentation. The students sat, listened, laughed, cried, took pictures of him, with him, it was truly inspirational. They really appreciated him and liked his story. What can I say I love history and love/am so proud of our military for what they have done for us. Makes a coordinator and teacher very happy! Here is the poem he ended the presentation with which melted my heart.

IT IS THE SOLDIER
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.

It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Tonight I am meeting my mom's physical therapist. I haven't shared this with you all yet, but when I was with my ex for 8 years, all of our friends ended up becoming the same. We didn't really have separate friends anymore. When I broke up with him I felt it was only fair to not make anyone choose between him or me, so I told them to stay friends with him. Obviously, this was really tough and hurt, plus it made me loose trust in people because other things happened at the same time, which I won't share since they are personal. So, my mom has a physical therapist that is my age and she thought we would become great friends. We are meeting up for dinner which I hope is awesome. I have been needing some new girls that are my friends in my life. You cannot replace girl-time. I will keep you posted on how it goes!!! This is a first step for me working on my trust issues.

Until next time...

Book Review Thursday: Maverick by Lora Leigh

For Easter, I got this cute PINK bunny that sings "You build me up". With this book, Maverick by Lora Leigh. I am about 150 pages in so far and LOVE this author. It is about Micah Sloane who is an Elite Ops agent who is going under cover to catch an assassin. He is pretending to be in a relationship with Risa Clay who has an extension and interesting past. The character development so far is fabulous. It has some sexy scenes and the style of writing is exactly what I like, lots of back development on what has happened in the past and connects it to the current situation, plus lots of secret information. If you like romance tied with secret agents, this is a fabulous find for you! The author also has a ton of other books with similar backgrounds!

Education Tuesday: CHICKS!!!!

And I am not talking about the kind that you pick up at a bar, I am talking about chickens, that hatch from eggs. Yes, I am in charge of the Embryology After-School Program this year. AHHHHHH! I went to the training today, so much to do for this and I am nervous, I don't want to kill them.

I am trying to find a couple of students who will help me with this project through out the 25 days that I will have them. This training said if you have a 50% hatch rate, you have been successful. 50% - this lady does not know me, 50% is FAILING as any good teacher would say. I cannot fail at raising a chicks for 25 days. I won't be able to live with myself.

I hatched chickens last in the 3rd grade with my teacher Mrs. Fisher. I am surprised that I remember this but I do. I completely forgot the life-cycle and for those of you in the same boat as I, the picture is below.
found from a google search.

I am going to busy like crazy this week, teaching myself the life cycle again, learning how to care for these eggs, finding/cleaning my incubator, and figuring out how I am going to make this work for 3 weekends in a row taking these little chicklets home with me.

Hopefully, the first week of May I will be showing you photos like this courtesy of google.com
Somehow I don't think mine will be this cute when they first hatch. And I hope they don't bite me.

Until next time....

Beauty Review Monday: Too Faced Air Buffed BB Cream

****I was not paid to do this review.

I just found this product at Ulta the other day. I have said before, I have acne prone skin and dark circles under my eye. It is extremely hard to find products that will cover and be close to my skin color. The color I used if Vanilla Glow.

I loved how the above pictures were designed, you can see her review at the above link. She also shows a before and after picture which were fabulous. I will update with my before and after photos as soon as I can.

The brush that comes with the product is a flat brush and blends with your skin wonderfully. The BB Cream is solid and when applied it goes on extremely smooth. It is not heavy, I didn't feel like I was wearing anything on my face.

***Negative: I felt it covers dark circles and small acne problems AMAZINGLY, any large marks though, I did feel the need to use another product in addition to this one. Perhaps I need to keep practicing to get the full coverage, but it did an amazing job under my eyes, I haven't been able to find anything in YEARS!!

I am extremely happy with this purchase and color.

Until next time...
